                                        Meet Pastor Lou

The Psalmist wrote these words to publicly declare
the praises of God. As I write this short bio of my
experience of God's providence in my life, I am convicted
once again that the God we love and worship is indeed full
of mercy and grace. I pray that you will experience the
majesty and love of God anew as you read this. God alone,
the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, is to be
worshipped and adored. I look forward with great
expectation to your visit and hearing what He has done for
    your soul!

By God's grace and His sovereign will I was born again on January 29, 1986 in the
midst of a serious automobile accident. By the power of His Holy Spirit, He changed
my life forever. He placed a compelling desire in my heart to run after Him. God
ordained a tragedy to give me His greatest blessing, life in Christ. As I pursued
Christ through reading and studying the Bible, I became convicted of my sinfulness
in the light of His holiness. I surrendered my life to Christ by the power of His Holy
Spirit. I repented of my sins and placed my whole trust in His finished work. God has
continued to teach me what it means to follow Him. As Paul wrote, every Christian
is called to work out his/her salvation in fear and trembling because God is the One
working to change a sinner into the likeness of Christ, Philippians 2:12-13.

As I studied the Bible and subsequently taught it as a member of my local church, I
discerned that God was calling me to invest myself fully in the ministry of the word.

During that time I was member of the Protestant Episcopal Church, commonly
referred to as the Episcopal Church. I entered Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry in
1991 with the approval and endorsement of the Bishop of the Diocese of Central
Florida. I graduated with a Master of Divinity degree in 1994 and was ordained.
During my tenure in the Episcopal Church, I
served three churches. One of the three was a "church plant" that God grew for His
glory.

By God's providence, I left the Episcopal Church, renounced my orders in that
denomination and was examined and ordained a Teaching Elder in the Presbyterian
Church in America (PCA) in February, 2005. The Lord led me and my wife, Laurie, to
be a part of this great Kingdom work in Weatherford, Texas. With great humility we
feel privileged and honored to serve this church family, Weatherford Presbyterian
Church.

God is sovereign and His plan uses all of our lives for His purpose. My life is no
exception. Prior to my seminary education, I was an Electrical Engineer, engaged as
a supervisor, then manager in the commercial nuclear power industry. The last ten
years of my total of eighteen years as a practicing engineer was spent at the
Crystal River Unit Three Nuclear Power Plant, Crystal River, Florida.

I received my undergraduate degree in 1973 in Electrical Engineering from Villanova
University, Villanova, PA.

Laurie, my devoted wife and I were married on July 14, 1973. We have three
children: Nicholas, Krista and Annamarie, a daughter-in-law, Brynn, and
grandchildren, Silas and Eden Grace.

I am a Christian by God's grace and a Reformed Evangelical by conviction. The
Protestant Reformers of the sixteenth Century recovered the faith that was, "once
for all delivered to the saints." Jude 3. I see the majesty and love of God in Christ
magnified knowing that He did for me what I could never do for myself. I was dead
and He made me alive! I invite you to join us at Weatherford Presbyterian Church
and catch the joy of the Lord along with us as we participate in God's work of
building His Kingdom. What a blessing it is to be a part of His vision here!

We are sinners saved by God's grace, desiring to be people of grace. We will be
blessed by your presence and I confidently say that you will be impressed by what
God is doing in and through us.

Yours in Christ's love and service,

Lou Tiscione
